The Douglas County Republican Central Committee (DCRCC) is the official Nevada Republican Party-affiliated organization in Douglas County. We focus on voter registration and information as well as 'Get out to Vote' campaigns for elections, conduct county caucus, precinct meetings, and approve The County Platform. We maintain a storefront Head Quarters at 1507 Hwy 395 in Gardnerville and currently represent 22,015 registered Douglas County Republicans.
The attendance and support of our annual Lincoln-Reagan Fundraiser Dinner are greatly appreciated. In 2017 we reached the maximum capacity of our venue while enjoyed speakers General John Abizaid, Former Commander, U.S. Central Command, and Adam Laxalt, then Nevada Attorney General. In 2018, the event sold out with three weeks to go with our special guest former Sheriff Joe Arpaio. 2019 exceeded expectations with special guests Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie; Authors of "Let Trump Be Trump" and "Trumps Enemies". Bob DiBuono impression of President Donald J. Trump was the comic relief we were all looking for, but the star of the night was the snow storm of the year! David J Harris; author, speaker and political activist, is apologetically pro-life and explained "Why I Couldn't Stay Silent" about our nations greatness.. Also in 2020, Congressman Mark Amodei, NV D2, had an insightful update of current events as only he can! In the fall is our Heritage Day BBQ at the famous Dangburg Ranch with David John and the Comstock Cowboys. Author and Radio Host Larry Elder was our special guest in 2018, followed in 2019 by Stanford University and Hoover Research Fellow Bill Whalen and our 99.1 FM morning host Monica Jaye. Somehow, the weather is always great!
In 2016 the Douglas County Republican Central Committee hosted the Nevada Republican Central Committee meeting in Lake Tahoe. In conjunction with the leadership of Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald and Vice Chairman and DCRCC Chairman Jim DeGraffenreid, we hosted the keynote speaker, then-candidate, President, Donald Trump.
Douglas County continues to set the bar with Republican voter turnout currently at 77% of active voters for 2018, as high as any of the 17 Nevada counties. We will be working to break our 2016 record of 94% in 2020!
Douglas County remains influential by sending members to the Nevada Republican Central Committee, as well as electing officers to the Nevada Republican Party Executive Board. Currently, the state party Vice Chairman, Credentials Chair, Timekeeper, Rural Caucus Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer are DCRCC members. We have also helped our state party by helping build communication and legislative liaison processes and providing sub-committee staff and leadership to the biannual Nevada Republican Convention.
