ABOUT US
We are the official Nevada Republican Party-affiliated committee for Douglas County. We provide leadership management of the affairs of the Republican Party in Douglas County, Nevada by encouraging and promoting Republican Party candidates in all levels of government. We work build and maintain an active party organization with solid precinct organization to encourage voters to vote for Republican candidates.
We encourage participation by all residents in political education and activities to promote and defend the Constitutions of the United States of America and the State of Nevada.
We currently represent 22,586 (as of March 2024) registered Douglas County Republicans and expect over 90% turnout of active voters this November. Our headquarters office is located at 1507 Hwy 395 in Gardnerville.
In 2016 the Douglas County Republican Central Committee hosted the Nevada Republican Central Committee meeting in Lake Tahoe. In conjunction with the leadership of Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald and Vice Chairman and DCRCC Chairman Jim DeGraffenreid, we hosted keynote speaker, then-candidate, President, Donald Trump.
The attendance and support of our annual Lincoln-Reagan Fundraiser Dinner continues to exceed expectations. In 2017 we speakers General John Abizaid, Former Commander, U.S. Central Command and Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt. In 2018, the event sold out with special guest Sheriff Joe Arpaio. 2019 featured special guests Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie; Authors of "Let Trump Be Trump" and "Trump's Enemies."
Nationally-known Author and Radio Host Larry Elder was our special guest at the 2018 Heritage Day BBQ, followed in 2019 by Stanford University and Hoover Research Fellow Bill Whalen and our 99.1 FM morning host Monica Jaye. Somehow, the weather is always great!
Douglas County remains influential by sending members to the Nevada Republican Central Committee, as well as electing officers to the Nevada Republican Party Executive Board. Currently the Vice Chairman, Credentials Chair, Timekeeper, Rural Caucus Chair, Secretary and Treasurer are DCRCC members. We have also helped our state party by helping build communication and legislative liaison processes and providing sub-committee staff and leadership to the biannual Nevada Republican Convention.
